Here’s some exciting news for all of you creative fans out there! The Official Narnia website has just announced that they are holding a contest for anyone to submit name suggestions for The Lady of the Green Kirtle, the villain of the upcoming film The Silver Chair. The winning name will be chosen by Mark Gordon, David Magee, and Douglas Gresham.

Good reporting, Ann! This is exciting!
I’m a little unsure about having a made up name for her, but I do like the idea of fan input and as much as I like the anonymity of her titles in the book, I’ve already submitted two names.
I understand about everyone being a little nervous about something that’s technically NOT in the book, but I somewhat understand where the production team is coming from, because to write a script and to make a movie without a specific character having a name would be a little awkward.
I entered a name I’ve had in my head for months. 😀
I’m glad they are asking for name ideas from fans. I truly never thought of naming her before, so I have no idea what name she should have! I hope, though, that when she introduces herself to Eustace, Jill, and Puddleglum, that she keeps the anonymity of “The Lady of the Green Kirtle,” and that we only find out later her actual name, because in that sequence, she is not stating her intents.
