William Poulter, whom we know and love as having played Eustace Clarence Scrubb in Fox’s Voyage of the Dawn Treader, is starring in The Maze Runner, a film due to hit American theaters this Friday, September 17th. The Maze Runner, directed by Wes Ball, is a sci-fi/thriller based on the best-selling 2009 book of the same name. It recounts the adventures of about 60 boys taken away from their normal lives and forced to survive in an ever-changing labyrinth. It follows the current trend of dystopian-style children’s stories made into film following the success of The Hunger Games, Ender’s Game and Divergent. Will Poulter will be playing one of the boys living in the maze, a character called Gally. He appears to be something of an antagonist. The film is rated PG-13 for “thematic elements and intense sequences of sci-fi violence and action, including some disturbing images.” This film has not been viewed or reviewed by TLC so we recommend that minors consult with their parents before deciding whether or not to watch it.
