This originated with Tenny’s homework; she didn’t see why the farmer couldn’t count his own chickens and cows (not to mention that he’d be much more likely to know how many chickens and cows he had than to know how many heads and legs his chickens and cows had between them). So I Narnia-fied the word problem for her, and then she /had/ to figure it out to help Caspian (and because she’s very protective of her giraffey friend and had to make sure that I had enough other giraffes to help me). Kristi came up with the punch line, and commissioned the comic.
