Hi. First time seeing general chat thread here.
I haven’t seen The Chosen but I’ve heard good things about it. I’ve also heard that some might be concerned about or even object the too many creative licenses. Though I’ve seen Biblical films and kids Bible shows use some creative license, even though some try to be Biblically accurate, I don’t believe any are done 100% correct. I think it depends on the content, whether the content contradicts Scripture or not.
@jasmine_tarkheena I've seen bits but intend to watch more. I do know a couple of people on the side of being cautious of it because of the creative liberties, but from what I've seen and heard I think it generally has its heart right. The main complication is that it is dealing with matters Scripture seldom directly addressed -- the daily lives and inner struggles of the people Jesus called -- rather than being a straightforward retelling of the Gospels. But that doesn't mean it has to contradict what we know.
Alright Lily they confirmed that after a break they are going to do Moses and then the book of Acts.

@jasmine_tarkheena they usually try their best not to contradict Scripture since the director is a Christian. And a Protestant: Dallas Jenkins. He is quite clear that he writes a serie not bible with actors.

Huh. I hadn't realized they were tackling Moses first... that seems like an interesting decision. Now I'm hoping they maintain funding and viewer interest long enough to make it to Acts. :/
Hey everyone! Anyone got any creative projects they're excited about?? I'm currently doing a small Hobbit hole window mural, which is kinda cool as it's my first time painting directly onto a wall...
Lily I'm not a creator too much I'm a reader and serie watcher and I used to write fictional stories.
